Production Supervisor – Muskegon

Food Production company seeking a production supervisor with FOOD EXPERIENCE.  The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing a manufacturing team and the manufacturing process to ensure quality food products. Manage a team of functional Team Leaders ensuring customer and employee satisfaction while improving the plant efficiency. Support company to achieve goals and objectives by supervising staff, as well as organizing and monitoring workflow according to our Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines.

Responsibilities:
o Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
o Selects and trains employees and works with Human Resources to resolve personnel problems.
o Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
o Provides manufacturing information by analyzing production performance records and data and making suggestions to management.
o Maintains a safe and clean work environment through compliance with established policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:
o 5+ years management experience including direct supervision and employee coaching
o 5+ years of Production Planning experience
o Self Starter With Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills – Must be able to write and speak clearly and informatively
o Some college preferred, but not required
o Leadership – Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well; inspires respect and trust; accepts feedback from others; and gives appropriate recognition to others.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with weekend hours, depending on the production schedule. 2nd shift only

Compensation is up to $55,000 depending on experience plus additional straight time.
